Eastern Health has Emergency Departments in over a dozen sites throughout the Eastern region of Newfoundland and Labrador. Emergency Departments are open 24 hours a day to provide emergency care to people suffering from serious or urgent medical problems.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)

Eastern Health’s SANE program, based from St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, provides services to persons who have been victims of sexual assault. The program provides care to patients in a safe and compassionate environment.
